Soothing & Relaxing

When guests enter SHE they are often over heard saying, "My it smells so good in here." The scent their senses are enjoying is that of natural lavender. Our bundles of lavender and sachets come directly from Provence France and scent the air along with lavender diffusers and soaps.

Many people suffer from fragrance and/or skin allergies, along with frequent headaches. Often referred to as 'synthetic headaches' which are attributed to the scent in products from the ingredient phthalates which gives products their scent.
Non-toxic, natural products do not contain phthalates.

Natural products provide much less chance of aggravating those conditions and can even help alleviate them. Natural skin products also tend to be very helpful for conditions such as eczema, dermatitis, dry, itchy skin and even psoriasis. Your skin absorbs what you put on it. By using natural skin care products you can help to reduce the amount of synthetic products that you take into your body.

How to Use Lavender Essential Oils

Essential oil of lavender is derived from the lavender flower through stem distillation and yields a very highly concentrated lavender essence, much more intense than lavender flowers. One pound of lavender oil requires distilling 120-130 pounds of "true" lavender flowers. Almost 10 acres of lavender are planted to harvest one pound of lavender oil, so it is a very valuable essence, and the single most important essential oil. Therefore, we use lavender oil drop by drop.

Some ways to use lavender essential oil to scent your world.
  • Refresh sachets, lavender buds, potpourri with a drop or two of oil, squeeze or stir for instant renewal.
  • Scent your laundry hamper by dropping a little on a paper towel and placing it at the bottom of the hamper, to keep soiled clothing fresh until they are washed.
  • Drop a few drops of oil into the final rinse of your laundry to give a light, clean fragrance.
  • In the dryer, place a few drops on a clean cloth and place in the dryer for fresh smelling laundry.
  • Use lavender linen spray to mist your pillows at bedtime to promote a sense of calmness and relaxation.
  • Place lavender buds or diffusers about your home for a natural calming scent.
  • For the medicine chest, lavender oil may be used on burns, insect bites and cuts for relief and speedy healing.
  • Add a few drops to a vaporizer to battle colds, coughs and infections.
  • Put a few drops on a folded, wet wash cloth, microwave for 60 seconds for a warm compress. Use as an eye pillow to treat headaches and sinus infections.
  • Add a few drops to a hot bath, close the door and inhale the vapor for the ultimate relaxation experience.
